February 2019 The Novato Police Department is deeply saddened to share the sudden loss of recently retired Novato Police K9 Lex. Lex, a 10 year old Belgian Malinois, became ill and was taken to a local vet for treatment on Monday afternoon. April 2019 We would like to introduce K9 Nova as the newest member of our department. Nova is a two year old Belgian Malinois who joined our force earlier this month.
